This guide answers common questions related to rules, regulations, and health and safety for those who are growing food in the city to sell. Questions include: do I need a permit or license to sell the fruits and vegetables I grow? Do I need to charge tax? Do I need insurance?

Commissioned by Live Green Toronto, Lorraine wrote this brochure about growing food in the city. Urban agriculture is an important and effective way to create food-friendly neighbourhoods and access to nutrition, and delicious and inexpensive vegetables and fruit.
